Tejas Cajun

San Benito native Trey Martinez leads Tejas Cajun, a trio blending Tex-Mex, conjunto, and Louisiana swamp and Cajun influences with Slim Bawb and Matt Morgan. Martinez taught himself accordion after starting on drums in San Benito High School's Conjunto Estrella program, which his father founded, and later moved to New Braunfels, where he began playing with Bawb after seeing him open for Taj Mahal at Gruene Hall in 2012. Their self-titled debut album arrived digitally on October 15, 2026.
