Ingram is a small town just west of Kerrville on the South Fork of the Guadalupe River — the Hill Country's quiet neighbor to its more prominent regional hub. It's home to the remarkable Hill Country Arts Foundation, one of the strongest community arts organizations in rural Texas, and offers a genuine small-town experience in beautiful river country.

What to See & Do

Hill Country Arts Foundation — One of the gems of the Texas arts community, the HCAF operates two outdoor theaters, gallery spaces, and a comprehensive arts education program on a beautiful riverfront campus. Summer theatrical productions draw visitors from across the region. The Point Theatre's outdoor setting above the river is one of the most atmospheric performance venues in Texas.

Guadalupe River — The South Fork of the Guadalupe provides excellent fishing and swimming access around Ingram. The river runs clear through cypress-lined banks in this upper stretch.

Stonehenge II & Easter Island Heads — One of Texas's most unexpected roadside attractions sits on private land visible from the road near Hunt (just west of Ingram) — a 60% scale replica of Stonehenge accompanied by Easter Island moai replicas. Wonderfully strange.

Arts and crafts — Ingram has attracted working artists and craftspeople who have established studios in and around town. Several galleries operate in the area.

Food & Drink

Ingram's dining options are limited but improving. The proximity to Kerrville (5 miles east) makes the full range of Kerrville's restaurant scene easily accessible. A few local spots in Ingram serve the community.
