Guadalupe River access — Center Point sits on the upper Guadalupe, where the river runs clear and cold through cypress-shaded banks. Fishing for bass and catfish is excellent, and the river provides private, uncrowded swimming access compared to the busier stretches downstream.

River Road (RR-1340) — The scenic road following the Guadalupe River between Kerrville and Comfort offers some of the most beautiful Hill Country driving in the region — cypress-lined river banks, limestone bluffs, and working ranches with minimal traffic.

Proximity to Kerrville and Comfort — Both towns are within 15 miles, providing full services, dining, and activities while Center Point itself maintains its rural character.

Local Tips

• Center Point is best appreciated as a stopover on the river road between Kerrville and Comfort rather than a standalone destination.
• The river access here is excellent and significantly less crowded than downstream sections.
• The community has a post office, a few small businesses, and genuine rural Hill Country character — it's the real thing, not a curated version.

Getting There

Center Point sits on TX-27 and RR-1340 about 12 miles southeast of Kerrville and 12 miles north of Comfort. From Kerrville, take TX-27 southeast. From Comfort, take TX-27 northwest.
