Lakeway is a master-planned community on the shores of Lake Travis in western Travis County — one of the most scenic residential settings in Central Texas. Built around the boating and outdoor lifestyle of Lake Travis, it has grown into a substantial suburban city with its own retail district, excellent schools, and strong community identity.

What to See & Do

Lake Travis is the defining feature — a 65-mile-long reservoir with some of the best recreational boating in Texas. The marinas, waterfront restaurants, and swim beaches around Lakeway give residents and visitors excellent lake access.

Lakeway City Park provides green space, sports facilities, and lake views. The park is a community gathering place for events and recreation year-round.

Lakeway Resort and Spa is one of the premier resort destinations in the Austin area, with lake views, a full-service spa, pool facilities, and excellent dining — a destination in its own right.

Pace Bend Park — About 10 miles west on TX-71, this Travis County park has over 1,000 acres of shoreline access on Lake Travis with camping, swimming, and boating.

Food & Drink

The retail and restaurant corridor along RR-620 and FM-2769 has grown into a comprehensive suburban dining scene. Lakeway Grill, the restaurants at Lakeway Resort, and several quality independents provide solid dining options without requiring an Austin drive. For the full Hill Country winery experience, Dripping Springs and the US-290 corridor are about 20 minutes south.
