Round Mountain is a small unincorporated community in Blanco County on US-281, named for the distinctive rounded granite hill visible from the highway. It's an agricultural community on the edge of the Llano Uplift, where the pink granite of the Central Mineral Region meets the limestone of the Hill Country proper.
